An 8 years old boy sued over a birthday party injury

It was a bright sunny Saturday morning, an 8 years old Sean Terala was excited, not just because the
day was bright (anyday could be a bright and sunny morning) but because that day was a special day, a day set aside just to celebrate him. It was his birthday and his parents had prepared a fun filled birthday party where all his friends and families were invited, but there was one special surprise that his parents did not tell him about and which was that his favorite aunt was coming to the party. So when Terala saw his Aunt approach he was so excited to see her that he ran straight in to her causing her to fall and break her wrist. Imagine how the boy would have felt, a proposed wonderful party turning into a sour one. That's not the end, wait for it... 4 years later she decided to sue him, for how much you'll ask; a staggering $127,000 for injuries. I have searched through my mind trying to find how and why an Aunt of an 8 year old boy will do that to her Nephew or to his Parents.

Jennifer Connell who lives in New York (and fondly called Aunty Jen by her beloved Nephew) accidentally broke her wrist in 2011 when her nephew ran into her and she claims the wrist injury has continued to cause problems ever since and she feels he needs to be held liable and understand that his actions have consequences. How absurd! I mean what kind of Aunt sues her Nephew who happens to be her favorite Nephew (hopefully not anymore thanks to her mean spirited nature).
I can't imagine my Sister, coming to my Son's birthday party, an accident happens, she gets hurt and then Sues me and my Son.

Accidents happen and anyone might just end up getting hurt in the process. Anyway thankfully in this case justice was served as the case was thrown out of the court.
